The aura of mystique that surrounds Fisher Island has a lot to do with its inaccessibility. Unlike most of the island neighborhoods in South Florida, there is no way to simply drive onto the island since there is no conventional means of vehicular access. Instead, residents or visitors to Fisher Island must use either a helicopter or the Fisher Island ferry.
To shed some light on what the Fisher Island experience is like, let’s take a look at couple of the island amenities beginning with the Fisher Island Beach Club. The all-inclusive resort was renovated back in 2009 and it provides plenty of experiences from sunbathing to watercraft rentals and tiki huts that are perfect for socializing under the South Florida sunshine.
For additional recreation Fisher Island has a marina and there is also tennis courts with a variety of courts plus a golf grill and pro shop. For dining there is also plenty of places to enjoy including the La Trattoria overlooking Biscayne Bay. Whether it’s pizza, pasta, or something else entirely, La Trattoria is open every day from 7 am to 10 am.
To wind down for the day, a stop at the luxurious state of the art Spa Internazionale will have you feeling wonderfully relaxed.
