A Conversation with PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans (March 22nd)

The Perez Art Museum Miami, PAMM, is a modern and contemporary art museum committed to collecting and exhibiting international art from the 20th and 21st centuries. Aside from showcasing fascinating pieces from the Americas and the Caribbean, PAMM maintains a robust educational program that is the largest outside of the Miami-Dade school system. In fact, on March 9th, 2016, PAMMS’ The Art of the Party gala raised more than $1 million and had the highest attendance of any of their galas to date.

On Tuesday, March 22nd, Fisher Island Club is presenting PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans at 5pm in the Ballroom Terrace. Wine and refreshments will be served followed by a round of engaging art conversation at 5:30pm inside the Ballroom. If you’re interested in contemporary art, this exclusive event will captivate and provide you with a strong foundation of knowledge.

Wine Dinner Featuring Peter Michael, Wine Spectator’s #1 Wine Worldwide 2015 (March 23rd)

On Wednesday, March 23rd, Fisher Island Club is hosting an exclusive Wine Dinner for its members at 7pm in the Mansion Library. The four-course menu pairs decadent dishes with first-class wines. For starters, indulge in some foie gras with almond jelly and apple compote or Kampachi crudo with an apple-ginger slaw, both served with Louis Roederer Brut Premier Champagne. The First Course stars Nigerian prawn with passion fruit butter and citrus, paired with 2014 L’apres-midi Sauvignon Banc. Next, a course comprised of line-caught Hawaiian Mero Sea Bass fillet accompanied with compressed sweet potato, toasted almond, pickled yellow baby carrots, orange blossom oil powder, white balsamic and lychee gastrique served with 2013 Mon Plaisir Chardonnay. The Third Course consists of filet mignon with coffee and cocoa rubs prepared with dried blueberries, mushroom powder, liquor ice sauce, and potato foam, coupled with 2012 L’Esprit des Pavots and 2006 Les Pavot. Last but not least, dessert is a rich chocolate fondant with candied orange zest and confit black cherry. These harmonious pairings promise to create strong synergies between food and drink, surely a treat for the senses!
