The Humane Society of Greater Miami Finds Loving Homes for Pets

HSGM_Logo-1The Humane Society of Greater Miami is an animal welfare organization seeking to place every dog and cat in its care in a loving home by promoting responsible pet ownership and spearheading spaying and neutering programs. Each pet receives shelter, veterinary care, and lots of TLC while they wait to find a new home.

The Humane Society of Greater Miami charitable efforts in helping homeless animals across Miami-Dade County has been going on since the late 1930s. Today, more than 280 homeless receive care and have a second chance to find a home with a committed and responsible family. The organization runs two veterinary clinics in Cutler Bay and North Miami Beach aimed at reducing pet overpopulation, performing more than 10,000 sterilization surgeries each year. The organization also provides complimentary services for those experiencing financial hardship, including spay/neuter programs.

Over 1,000 animals being care for by The Humane Society of Greater Miami end with a happy ending as the newest family member in a loving home. Prior to placing the animal up for adoption, they are given a comprehensive health checkup and receive all of their vaccinations. Counseling and guidance is provided to ensure that pets end up in the right home.
